Terms and Conditions

 These T&Cs should be read in conjunction with the

"Frequently Asked Questions".

The following Terms and Conditions apply.

“We”, “Us” “Owner” ,“Our” and “HWH” mean the seller/supplier of the goods/services (Hampshire Wedding Hire).

“You”, “Your” or “Hirer” means the hirer/purchaser of the goods/services.

The “Goods” mean all goods/products/free gifts to be hired/purchased from us to you.

"Writing" means written communication via letter or email.

1.     General Conditions

(a)    We shall make our best efforts to supply you with the goods requested, but we reserve the right to supply you with similar goods.  Goods are individually made and may not always be identical or as shown in pictures.

(b)   All goods for hire remain our property. All goods for sale remain our property until full payment has been made.  We will not be liable for deliveries to unoccupied premises and/or goods not checked and signed for upon immediate delivery.  HWH reserves the right to withold deposits in part or in full.  Monies will be witheld  in part or full for loss or damage to hire items.

(c)   When hiring chair covers it is the client's responsibility to ensure our covers fit the venues chairs prior to our arrival or client use.  We will supply you with a sample where necessary to check this. Chair covers must not be used outside.    It will be at the discretion of HWH if discount vouchers issued by the previous owners can be used for the hiring of goods.   If you intend to use discount vouchers already issued to you, please email us and we will try to accommodate your requirements.  

(d)    We do our best to supply items in good clean order, however, clients must accept that hire items are obviously not new so may have the odd mark.  We advise all clients to check items prior to use.  If there are any issues the client must bring this to the attention of HWH before the event.  

(e)    HWH will not be held liable for damage or injury caused by any of their items.  This includes the storage and manual handling of them.  Heavy items will be divided up and clearly labelled.  It is the client's responsibility to handle and store items correctly.  In addition clients are advised to handle glass items with care.  If any item is broken HWH advises clients not to use the item. HWH will not be held liable for damage or injury caused by items that are broken after they leave our premises.  First aid should be sought immediately if injury occurs.  It is the client's responsibilty to ensure any safety signs are displayed.

(f)   HWH remind clients children should never be left unattended with all items but in particular when playing with the "Kids Corner" and near the screen/candy cart/table.  It is the client's responsibility to ensure the screen is secure.  HWH will not be held liable for damage or injury caused by these hire items. 

(g)    It is the clients responsibility to check spellings on custom made items before they are signed for. 

(h)   Terms and conditions apply to any special offers and discounts.  Discount vouchers and special offers cannot be used in conjunction with each other, nor can one discount voucher be used with another for the same purchase - unless otherwise agreed by HWH.

(i)   HWH recommend other persons/businesses that they have made links with.  If the client chooses to use these HWH will not be held liable for them of any complaints against them. 

2.     Booking 

A £50 non refundable deposit must be paid to secure a booking.  HWH will not reserve the booking until this has been paid (and any cheques cleared).  This deposit will be used towards full payment.  In addition to this, clients must contact HWH one month prior to the event to confirm the booking, regardless of previous correspondence. 

3.   Payment

Full payment is required in full 4 weeks prior to the event. If payment is not received before this time, we will assume our services are no longer required and will cancel the order and retain the deposit.  We will make every effort to contact the buyer/hirer first to clarify cancellation.  If you do not pay or respond to our communication we reserve the right to cancel your booking.  Full payment is defined as the outstanding balance plus the refundable damage deposit.  Payment by BACS or cheque preferred.  

4.    Damage Deposit Information 

The refundable damage deposit will be refunded to you after collection & inspection of goods.  We will always give a written explanation of any damage if the deposit is not to be returned in full.  If you believe a venue has damaged/lost any items it is your responsibility to forfeit the deposit (and any further sums due)  and then for youto resolve the issue with the venue.  HWH can supply you with written (and photographic) evidence if required. 

5.     Prices 

Prices & availability of products are subject to change without notice, however once a deposit is paid the price quoted (in writing) will remain unchanged.   Any adjustments made after booking may incur further costs.  

6.     Cancellations 

Customers who cancel their order at any time will forfeit their £50 deposit.  Cancellation must be made in writing or email and you must receive written or email acknowledgement from HWH.   Customers who cancel their order within 4 weeks of the event will be charged the full amount of total goods (including the refundable damage deposit).  

In the unfortunate situation where HWH have to cancel a booking, due to reasons beyond our control, HWH will do so in writing or email.   All money paid will be returned in full.   

7.    Liability 

HWH shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property howsoever sustained, arising from any goods purchased or hired from us or sustained whilst on our property.  HWH may occassionally offer to meet you at a location/arrange collection at a different address to supply you with goods - this is a personal favour and clients agree to this at their own risk.  HWH accepts no liabilIty away from the business address. We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage or misuse, wrong or inappropriate usage, failure to follow our instruction (whether oral or in writing) and alteration or repair of the items without our approval in writing.  If you believe a third party caused any damage to hired items, You the hirer will be expected to pay HWH for the loss/damage and to take the matter up with them personally.

Risk Assessments and/or any other information available upon request.

After collection of items the client assumes sole responsibility for them.  HWH will not be held liable for any items once they have left the premises .

8.   Rights Reserved

Any failure by HWH to enforce any or all of these conditions shall not amount to or be interpreted as a waiver of any of their rights.

9.   When a deposit is paid this is you the Hirer confirming that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
